On Friday the 17th of June, Our House had a bit of fun with the children and staff coming to work and care in our pyjamas. The kinder children enjoyed a cosy afternoon watching a movie and nibbling on popcorn together with Lisa and Marrie. Great fun was had by all and we cant wait for the next day to dress up and be silly.
We have joined ‘Little Green Steps’ sustainability program. This program has 4 levels of sustainability practises for our centre to work through and achieve. As each is achieved we will have a certificate sent out for us to display that we are a sustainable centre. Recycling and the environment and the effects on the ozone layer are important issues that children need to learn and understand. We would like to start graphing how much water we save each week. Also introducing earth hour as well.
As part of our national quality assessment we would love to have parent feedback. In our hallway I have displayed each quality area with a notepad and pen, if parents could write a few lines on what they think this would be appreciated.
Not long now until we have fresh food cooking from the newly renovated Our House kitchen. The smells of wholesome fresh foods and a four weekly rotating menu catering for all, including children with allergies.
On Wednesday the 29th of June we had our first Kinder Information Night at Our House. Our kinder room will now be dividing into two separate areas for the 3’s & 4’s . This way we can run two separate programs aimed at the developmental levels of the children. If you intend to put your child into our 4 year old fund program could you email Marlene our centre director on email@example.com as spots are limited.
