From January 2016, the government brought in a new regulation whereas parents cannot start daycare unless they have an update immunisation record for their child. Has your child had an immunization recently?? Please remember to bring in your updated immunisation record for our files.

As part of coming to care at Our House, we need all parents to keep their enrolment records up to date. Any change of address, phone numbers and email address. Please notify the office when any of these change. This is a regulation set down by the department of Education and part of our National quality standards.

During the month of June I will be emailing policies out to parents for review and feedback. Our Policy Folder is located in our foyer for families to peruse at a time convenient to them. During our next staff meeting our Educator’s will be discussing and looking at whether our Centre Philosophy meets the needs and families of the centre. I have included our philosophy below and would appreciate families taking the time to read our philosophy and provide their thoughts on what should be included in our philosophy.

Hello & Welcome to Our House, we would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new parents who have joined our house in the last few weeks. I would like to introduce myself, my name is Marlene and l am the new director l have a passion for early childhood. I have 8 children of my own ages ranging from 8-24 years, and also have a granddaughter 6 weeks old. At our house l would like to create the home away from home feeling so it’s unique to our centre. 2016 seems to be going so quickly. We have reached nearly the end of May and it will soon be Term 3. Term 3 brings lots of things happening here at our house with our new kinder teacher starting to continue from Kim. In the meantime Aimee will start here on the 30th of May at 8.30am and will help out in the toddler room until she begins her program.
