Our mixed-age, integrated Government-funded Three and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten Program is delivered within our long day care setting, providing children with continuity of care while supporting them through the important years leading to school.
We take a holistic approach to each child’s learning and development, supporting growth across five key developmental areas physical, social, emotional, cognitive and language and communication development. Our educators recognise each child’s individual strengths, interests and abilities and create meaningful experiences that encourage them to develop at their own pace.
Through play-based learning and intentional teaching, children are encouraged to investigate, ask questions, solve problems, make decisions and express their ideas. Early literacy, numeracy, STEM, creativity and communication are naturally embedded throughout the program, helping children develop confidence, curiosity and independence. Our program includes Early Start Kindergarten (ESK), funded Three and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten and Pre-Prep, supporting eligible children and families to access quality early childhood education within our long day care environment.
As children move closer to school, we place a strong focus on school readiness and transition, supporting not only early academic skills but also independence, resilience, emotional regulation, friendships, communication, self-help skills and confidence in new situations. We work closely with families throughout this journey, sharing children’s learning and development and supporting a positive transition from Our House to school. Our goal is for every child to leave Our House feeling confident, capable, curious and ready to embrace their next learning adventure.
